What is Bike to Work Day?

Walk & Bike to Work Day is the signature event of Walk & Bike Month. On this day, residents are encouraged to bike or walk to work instead of driving.

  • 6:30-9:00am
  • More than 50 breakfast stations hosted by local businesses
  • In and around Boulder, and throughout the Denver Metro Area
  • Free food and drinks!

Be sure to say THANK YOU to local businesses who host free breakfast for you! Join the fun with your fellow bicyclists and please encourage others to join in! It’s a unique experience.

ps – The Community Cycles Station will be serving up Conscious Coffee, Lamar’s Donuts, plus goodies from Natural Grocers, Alliance, and Boulder Ebike Repair.

Where do I register / pledge?

Pledge to ride on the Denver/Boulder area Bike to Work Day page. Registering helps us track participation, which is essential for securing funding and promoting. It also keeps you in the loop.

How many people participate?

Walk & Bike to Work Day typically draws an estimated 8,000 participants who commute by bike, scooter or on foot.

Who can participate?

Everyone is welcome—commuters, families, students, retirees and anyone who wants to experience Boulder’s vibrant walking and biking culture.

Can I participate if I work from home?

Yes! Even if you work from home, just pledge to get out sometime for a walk or ride.

Is this free?

Yes! All Walk & Bike Month events are free and open to the community, including Bike to Work Day.
